Val Frisal high plateau – a protected natural wonder

Val Frisal is one of the most impressive high plateaus in Surselva – vast, open, and almost untouched. As a protected fen and glacier forefield of national importance, the valley preserves unique moorland landscapes, Alpine flora, and wide streams. At the entrance to the valley lies the Scatlè forest, the smallest and highest primeval forest in Switzerland – another strictly protected natural gem. Val Frisal can be reached from Brigels on a longer but rewarding hike.
