Wi-Fi

Stay connected everywhere – our Wi-Fi is available to you free of charge throughout the hotel.

Tourist tax

The tourist tax is CHF 3.20 per adult/day. For children from 12 to 17 years old, it amounts to CHF 1.60. Children under 12 years old do not pay tourist tax.

Parking

Outdoor parking spaces are available free of charge, for a garage parking space we charge CHF 20.00 per night.

E-charging stations

4 charging stations in our garage for our hotel guests. CHF 0.65 kWh

Payment is made at the charging station by credit card.

How do I get to La Val Hotel & Spa?

Drive to the hotel by car or take the train to Tavanasa station and then the bus to Brigels.

Arrival

When can I check in and when do I have to check out?

Check-in: from 3 p.m.
Check-out: until 11 a.m.

On the day of departure, use of the Mountain Spa is included until check-out at 11 a.m.

Is there a late check-out?

Enjoy a late check-out until 5 p.m. – subject to availability for a fee of 25% of the daily rate.

Is there a valet parking service?

No, there is no valet parking. 

What car parking options are available?

Free outdoor car park and garage parking spaces for a fee.

We charge CHF 20.00 per night for a garage parking space.

Is there an e-charging station?

Yes, there are charging stations in the garage. Payment is made with your credit card. To do this, scan the QR code on the charging station and follow the instructions. 

Can I leave my car in the garage after check-out?

Depending on availability and after prior consultation with the reception team.

Is there an airport nearby?

The nearest airport in Zurich is approx. 2 hours away by car.

How do I get from the airport to La Val Hotel & Spa?

By car, public transport, or taxi.

Is there a railway station?

Yes, the Tavanasa railway station (6km away).

What is the best way to get around?

By local bus (in winter) or on foot.

Is there a cleaning service?

Yes, daily room cleaning.

Is there a turn-down service?

We are happy to offer this service on request. 

Is there a guest folder?

You will find the QR code for the digital guest folder on the TV screens. You will also receive a link to the digital guest folder by e-mail before you arrive.

Can I buy items from the room?

Possible depending on the item. Please ask at reception.

Are there smoking rooms? Is smoking allowed in public areas?

Smoking is only permitted in the smokers’ lounge – smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms and suites.

Is there room service?

Yes, room service is available for an extra charge.

Do all rooms have their own bathroom?

Yes, all rooms have their own bathroom.

Are there minibars in the room?

Minibars are only available in the suites.

What room facilities are available?

Care products and amenities from Team Dr Joseph, safe, TV, minibar depending on room category, hairdryer, and Nespresso machine.

Arrival, departure, and formalities

When are check-in and check-out?

Check-in from 3 p.m., check-out until 11 a.m.

What happens if I damage the room?

The repair costs will be charged to the guest.

Is an earlier check-in possible?

Subject to availability.

Is a later check-out possible?

Subject to availability. We reserve the right to charge a fee of 25% of the room rate until 5 p.m. and 100% of the room rate after 5 p.m.

Can I still use the spa area after check-out?

Yes, for CHF 20.00 you can also use the spa after check-out.

Until when can I check in?

Reception is open until 10 p.m. – later arrivals are possible by prior arrangement. If you will be arriving later than 8 p.m., please inform us in advance. 

What is required at check-in?

Valid ID for foreign guests. 

Can I store luggage before or after check-out?

Yes, free luggage storage at reception.

Are there any fees for early departure?

Yes, the full room rate will be charged.

Additional services

Is there a laundry or cleaning service?

Laundry service is available at the hotel. We have a partner for dry cleaning in Ilanz (min. 24-hour service).

Is there a shoe shine service?

Yes, there is a shoe shine machine in the connecting corridor and shoe shine amenities are available in the room.

How do I book a wake-up call?

Wake-up call is possible via the telephone in the room. Information can be found in the digital guest folder.

What business services do you offer?

We have a small seminar room for up to 12 people. This is equipped with a projector, screen, and flipchart.

Is there a gym? Which equipment?

We have a gym with a range of fitness equipment and weights.

Where can I store valuables safely?

In-room safe is available in every room.

Can I send a parcel to the hotel?

Yes, please inform us in advance.

Pets

Can I bring a pet with me?

Yes.

On request and for a surcharge of CHF 35.00 per day, you are welcome to bring your four-legged friend with you on holiday. Your pets are welcome in the suite, in the bar, in the Ustria Da Rubi, and on the terrace. Thank you for understanding that access to the Mountain Spa and the Ustria Miracla is not permitted. Please clean your pet’s paws before entering our hotel – towels are available at the entrance to House A.

Payment and booking conditions

Travel insurance

We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance so that the unexpected does not become a cause for concern. This ensures that your journey remains relaxed – right from the start.

Deposit

In the case of a non-refundable rate, the full amount will be charged to your credit card immediately after booking. If you book a different rate via our website, no advance payment is required. For reservations via external providers, your credit card will be charged automatically after the free cancellation period has expired.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of the booking of individual hotel rooms (up to a total of 3 rooms) must be received by Brigels Gastro AG no later than 5 days before the date of arrival. Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 5 days before arrival.

An exception is the high season (21 December to 5 January), when cancellations can be made free of charge up to 21 days before arrival.

In the event of cancellation less than 5 days (21 days in high season) before arrival, the total price of the booked service must be paid as a cancellation fee.

Payment options

The hotel bill can be paid on departure in cash, by debit card, or credit card. Please note that TWINT and REKA are not accepted.

Can a third party pay for my booking?

Yes.

Do you accept traveller’s cheques or REKA?

No.

What is the cancellation policy for non-refundable bookings?

In the event of cancellation of a non-refundable booking, the full amount of the overnight stay will be charged.

Will my credit card be charged at the time of booking?

Usually, your credit card will not be charged at the time of booking. In the case of a non-refundable booking, however, the credit card will be charged immediately after booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation deadlines vary and can be found in your booking confirmation and in our general terms and conditions.

Which credit cards do you accept?

AMEX, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, and PostFinance.

Do you offer currency exchange?

No.

Do children stay free of charge?

0–6 years: free of charge, baby cot or extra bed is provided free of charge

7–16 years: overnight stay (room/breakfast) CHF 50.00, (half board) CHF 120.00

From 17 years: overnight stay (room/breakfast) CHF 100.00, (half board) CHF 188.00

Yes, extra beds are available.

Is there a limit on the length of stay?

No, apart from seasonal closures.
