Rudolf Möller
Chef’s apprentice, Commis de Cuisine, Chef de Partie. Learning from scratch. But it didn’t take long: just five years after his apprenticeship, Rolf Möller became a sous chef at the five-star Park Hotel Vitznau, before becoming a sous chef at ‘La Brochette’ in Oslo and then at the luxury Savoy Hotel in Arosa.
In 1988, he trained as a chef de cuisine. In the same year, he dished up 15 GaultMillau points as soon as stepped into the role of Executive Chef at Park Hotel Vitznau.
Ten years later, he worked as a chef in Ascona, at the five-star Parkhotel Delta. He founded ‘Sapori del Sud Ascona Sagl’, focusing on every aspect of the speciality business, from procurement through to coaching and catering.
He has been cooking for our guests in Brigels, spoiling them and surprising them, since 2010.

Cook global,
eat local
International cuisine and regional products – does that sound like a contradiction in terms? Not at all: it’s our recipe for success! Ten different cheeses from the village dairy, milk fresh from our Brigels cows, Grisons salami and meat specialities from Schmed the village butcher, bread and pastries from Gabriel, the village baker… and all our fruit and vegetables are sourced in Switzerland. Enjoy!
Lavalino
Cosy romance?
Check!
"Lavalino" is the name of our small fondue restaurant in alpine hut look. In the rustic, with great attention to detail furnished restaurant you can enjoy an unforgettable evening and celebrate privately. There is room for up to 10 people - with a little imagination even 12.
Bar Da Rubi
Have you heard of the
«Arc de Brigels»?
From international cocktails to traditional long drinks, there’s hardly anything we can’t conjure up. Start the day with a ristretto, enjoy an aperitif before dinner and wrap up the day with a nightcap in the wee hours. The ‘Arc de Brigels’, our walk-in wine store, is the bar’s architectural highlight. You’ll be tempted to stroll through it – and to pause for a while, rummaging through the bottles it houses. Now, how about a glass of port?
Smokers Lounge
Furnascha –
a smoker’s delight
At this hour, the library merely serves as a backdrop. As the fire crackles away in the hearth, cigar aficionados can truly indulge in their passion. Can you imagine a more stylish way to round off a busy day on holiday in Brigels than with a fine hand-rolled La Val cigar in one hand and an exquisite glass of Armagnac, say, in the other? And of course, our fumoir is also home to a small selection of hand-picked spirits, from rum to whisky through to port, Madeira and cognac. Incidentally, the air circulates around the fumoir just comme il faut. After all, you want to leave having enjoyed your cigar – not with its smoke still clinging to your clothes. Our three very own cigar variants from the Dominican Republic are rightly considered to be first-rate. They have a light taste and burn wonderfully, right to the very end. They’re a dream! You wouldn't be the first guest to take a box (or several!) home with them...
